Sourdough Crackers with Sea Salt

A perfect little tapas companion from southern Spain.

Olive oil crackers are traditional to Andalucía where they’re known as Regañás. These ones are made by a family-owned company with their own sourdough starter and Picual olive oil from a nearby local producer. The dough is rolled and cut by hand, and you can sometimes even spot the fingerprints of the women who pressed the crackers into shape. The crackers are on the thicker side and wonderfully crunchy, with a wheaty flavor and a lovely balance of salt and olive oil.

Perfect for snacking on their own, dragging through dips, or pairing with cheeses, meats, and other tapas.
